Welcome!
We gladly welcome you to the RUAF Donor Database, which has been prepared
to enhance the access to funding possibilities for individuals and organisations
working in the field of urban agriculture, urban food security and nutrition,
urban organic wastes and wastewater reuse in agriculture, urban and
peri-urban land management, etc.
Work in progress; Your help is needed
The development of this database is a “work in progress”: we are still
complementing existing information records and adding new ones.
If you feel important information is missing or has been taken up incorrectly,
please let us know by sending an email to ruaf@etcnl.nl
so that we can adjust accordingly. You also can help us by pointing
out relevant funding sources not yet included in the database.
About the database
The current database provides access to over 475 funding sources. It
specifies their contact details, provides general information on the
funding organisation and their programmes, and, where available, provides
information on application procedures, eligibility criteria and financial
details.
The information was gathered during the last year by doing web searches
and sending out small questionnaires. We also gratefully made use of
materials collected by IDRC staff. Since urban agriculture is a relatively
“recent” field of work, few organisations have specific funding programmes
on urban agriculture. That is why we included information on funding
options for fields that have a strong linkage with urban agriculture,
such as urban food security, recycling of urban organic wastes and wastewater,
integrated peri-urban land management, urban greening, etc.
Searching the database
The database can be searched by simply selecting one of the 200 keywords
available and/or by selecting a region or country. Should you have any
questions regarding the database, or on how to search it, please do not
hesitate to contact us at ruaf@etcnl.nl.
Disclaimer
We would like to stress that the information provided might be outdated or
incomplete. Donors change their funding windows regularly and often
the information about such changes is not easily available on the Internet.
Therefore, it is recommendable that, when considering to prepare an
application for funding to a certain donor organization, you first
contact the selected funding agency directly in order to get up-to-date
and complete information on application criteria and procedures. Good luck! |
